How to Create a Dinosaur Bedroom

How to Create a Dinosaur Bedroom

We have decided that it is time for Superman to move from his crib into his big boy bed! We are still getting everything set up in his bedroom, so we have to finish a couple things up before we can let him do that. We are hoping to be done by this weekend so he can try it out. He has a twin size bed so we have to put a safety rail on the side of it. We have to put his books up because he is a little destructive and likes to rip them up when he gets a chance. I also need to re-finish his dresser (right now he is still sharing one with his brothers) and clean the cobwebs out of it, eek.

So because of all this, I also need to work on finishing the decorating part of his room up as well. It's a dinosaur room, we already have the bedding of course. So I've been doing some looking around (on Pinterest of course) for ideas of what else we can do in there. Here's some of what I found for inspiration in case you are looking to make your little boy a dinosaur room too. So many cute ideas!

First pick out some bedding. There are tons of cute sets to choose from. I would suggest painting the walls after you pick out the bedding. I already had the walls painted a really bright green color so I had to find bedding that would go with that. This is what we chose:

Your next step will be to decorate the walls with awesome posters and prints or even decals! Etsy is a great place to find some really cute things.

Check out these really cool ideas for a bed. I would love to do the bunk bed one since eventually all three boys will be sharing a room.

Don't forget about accessories like lamps, clocks, rugs and nightlights.

Oh and of course pillows. These ones are all so cute!

So this is my big project for now. Sometime in the (hopefully not too distant) future you will see what we did with his room and how awesomely it turned out!
