Five for Friday

1. I actually finished an entire book in three days this week. First time in a long time that I've done that. I have tons of books at home that I am in the middle of reading but I went to the library and got a new one and read that one instead. It's just easier sometimes.

2. My two youngest boys are turning into little stinkers! (Cute ones though.) Yesterday they found a crayon on the floor and ate that which resulted in purple all over their faces. Then in the afternoon one of them crawled into the sand box on his own and was eating the blue sand. It's a lot of work trying to keep an eye on three toddlers at once!

3. I haven't been inspired to write much this week at all. I have a few posts I'm working on but I'm having a hard time finding the motivation. At least I was still able to write this one.

4. My favorite photo of the week:

5. We picked one jalapeno this week and had a few more growing plus some green peppers. Then our puppy got into the garden and ate all the little peppers up and ruined both plants. She can be such a naughty dog sometimes!

Five for Friday

1. Happy 4th of July! This is one of my favorite holidays, right after Christmas. What are your big plans for the day? We are going to do family stuff and some fireworks later on. It will be interesting to see how the boys all react to them.

2. I haven't worked out in awhile. I know, how awful! I've decided my new goal is to start up again this week. I'll let you know how that goes next Friday. We do take lots of walks with the boys and the dog though, so that is something at least.

3. Look at this awesome wedding cake! I just love it. I've always loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy ever since I was little. The main reason for this is my mom used to read to us kids every afternoon when we were young and these are the books I really remember. We all loved them and couldn't wait for her to read another chapter. Of course we were all super excited when the movies came out too and went to see them many many times. I have a family of nerds and it's awesome.

4. Our puppy graduated from her first puppy training classes last night. She's such a good girl (25% of the time). Otherwise she's a typical 4 month old lab. She does really good with commands in the class though. We start level two on Sunday.

5. The babies have been teething this past week and are super crabby about it. I can't wait until they have all their teeth in! Even my oldest still needs to get two more of his two-year molars in.

Have an awesome holiday weekend!

Five for Friday

 1. Our garage sale is tomorrow! I really hope we make enough to make it worthwhile because it's been an awful lot of work this week trying to get ready for it. I still have a lot to do today. Ugh. What are your fun plans for the weekend?

2. Since it was Superman's birthday this past week I made cake and let all the little boys have some.
They had fun making a huge mess.
I am only making cupcakes for the birthday party and those aren't quite as exciting as a big piece of cake.

3. I found something else I need to get for meal times. How cute is that?!

4. If you were wondering what my Superman's favorite book is this week, it is this one.
He's been picking it every single night to read before bed!

5. My boys are slowly starting to grow a little more! They are going to be one year next week and they are finally wearing 9 and 12 month clothes. Mostly 9 month. They still have to wear 6 month pants and shorts though. They are starting to get too short but the 9 month pants are way too big. They are kind of in-between sizes I guess.

That's all I have today! We are going to be pretty busy these next couple of weeks!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

My Favorite Summer Fonts!

1. My favorite Summer fonts. Here are some awesomely fun fonts to give you inspiration for your Summer projects! Check them out, they are all free. Oh and now PicMonkey lets you use your own fonts, so that's pretty much the best thing ever. There are links to download each of them under the image.

Favorite Free Summer Fonts

Flip Flop // KG Defying Gravity // Halo Handletter // Moon Flower // Traveling Typewriter
Foglihten No.01 // Wolf in the City // Exmouth // Giraffe // Vintage

2. I finished up my root canal this week. That was pretty awful.
I would have to say my last c-section was more pleasant than this root canal.

3. Baggins Bracelet. This is a pretty sweet bracelet. Is anyone else a LOTR fan? I'm not the only nerdy one around here am I?

4. Ceramic Ninja Mug. Because who wouldn't want one of these!? If you are using a ninja mug you are automatically a cool person. Too bad Father's Day is already on Sunday because this would make an awesome gift. If only my husband drank coffee...

5. My garden is growing so nicely! I'm so excited about it. I just planted the corn this past week because I kept forgetting about it, so hopefully that wasn't too late. I still also need to find a trellis for my beans, I guess I better hurry they are growing pretty fast! We put the chicken wire around it to keep the puppy out but apparently she can just jump over it anyways.

Five for Friday & Summer Bucket List

1. I'm so glad we can finally spend time outside with the boys! We've been having a lot of fun taking walks every day and playing in the water. The babies love getting completely soaked and trying to drink any water they are playing with. It's so cute! Since it's finally summer, here is our family bucket list for this year!

Summer Bucket List 2014

2. This past week I had to go in for my root canal. That was one of the most awful experiences ever. It wasn't whatever the dentist was doing that was awful, it was my jaw being held open too far for too long. Ouch! It's still sore from that! But yay, I can now chew my food on both sides of my mouth without pain!

3. It's been so boring in the evenings lately without and new TV shows to watch! Good thing we have reruns of Big Bang Theory to watch pretty much every night. I never watched that show before meeting my husband, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them all a few times by now.

4. Our little puppy is 3 months old (although she's huge already!) and is finally starting her puppy classes. We took her to the first one last night. I was surprised to see that there was no other big puppies, they were all little dogs. (There was also the cutest little corgi puppy I've ever seen.) They had a puppy playtime where we let them off the leash and those poor little dogs, our giant puppy was far too wild for them. Hopefully she does better next time.

5. My favorite Etsy find this week. It's such a cute necklace! Check it out here.

Have a good weekend lovely friends!

Five for Friday

Five for Friday

1. I've only been drinking coffee two or three times a week lately and nothing terrible has happened. I guess I'd be okay to stop drinking it altogether but sometimes these early mornings are just too early!

2.  The babies are almost one but still fit just fine in their baby car seat carriers so that's what we've been using. I feel like they are getting too old to stay in them and they would probably like to be sitting up more often in the stroller, but it's so much easier to just snap them in and out when we are doing errands. It's such a dilemma! Maybe if they were out of their infant seats they would look older, right now people usually think they are 5 or 6 months still! We also still have to buy two car seats, so there's that.

3. On Tuesday next week my oldest will be having an assessment to see if he qualifies for the Early Intervention program. He has to be behind in at least two areas to qualify and as far as I know it's only speech, so we will see what happens.

Five for Friday
4. We have a wasp or two hanging out around our deck and it scares me. Superman always wants to play out there and I worry that he will get stung. Our puppy also hangs out there quite often too and I wouldn't want her to get stung either. I don't see a nest yet but they do seem to make one every year eventually.

5. We are having a barbeque at our house on Sunday! What fun plans do you have for the holiday weekend?

Five for Friday

(photo credit: Totoro's Expy via photopin cc)

1. So I ended up having to go to the dentist this week because of a painful cavity that popped up out of nowhere. Turns out I have to have a root canal, ick! The sad thing is they won't be doing it until the end of the month still. I guess I can live with the pain until then (don't really have a choice! haha)

2. Speaking of teeth, Spiderman had a third tooth on the top come in without me noticing somehow! I guess that tooth at least didn't bother him. Batman is very crabby this week, however. His teeth are giving him a hard time, poor baby.

3. This weekend I'm planning on getting some major cleaning done around our house. I'm going to go room by room and clean and go through everything. We're having a garage sale next month so I need to get everything ready for that.

4. My oldest, Superman, loves to dance to music. It's so adorable! He hasn't done it in a long time but he just started doing it again this week.

5.  Has anyone else watched the show Surviving Jack? I think it's hilarious! Last night was the season finale after only 5 episodes. Sadly it was cut and won't be coming back. It's really too bad, it was a good show with great writing.
